Man dies after “overcorrecting” in Morgan County crash

One man died Sunday morning after his car flipped several times.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 54-year-old Gary Meinhardt of Barnett flipped his car after he drifted off one side of Route W and South Marvin Road. Meinhardt, driving a 2003 Chevrolet S-10, “overcorrected” as he came back onto the highway, causing him to flip over several times. Meinhardt died at the scene, and was wearing his seat belt.

The death marks the 20th death on roads for Troop F, which serves most of mid-Missouri.
