Severe storms moved through Mid-Missouri Tuesday morning. High winds tore off parts of the roof at Tallman Company of Sedalia, a plumbing supply store. No one was injured by the high winds.

Randolph County Sheriff, Mark Nicholls, told ABC17 News there were reports of flooding of highway underpasses in and around Moberly.

Just before 11:00 a.m., a severe thunderstorm warning went into effect for much of Mid-Missouri.

Weather spotters reported an outage affecting phone line in the Sedalia 911 center. Reports said storms also damaged the roof of a manufacturing building near Sedalia.

Pettis County Sheriff Bond said heavy rains and high winds were causing trees to come down in Sedalia.

According to Kansas City Power and Light, more than 2,400 people were without power in Sedalia.
