Teenager arrested in connection with inappropriate Facebook page
Update: A Fulton teenager has been arrested in connection with a Facebook page called “South Callaway Sexiest.” After investigating for more than two months, investigators have identified Andrew Buckner, 17, as the author of the Facebook page.
The page, taken down by Callaway County authorities in February, contained images of female students at South Callaway High School in Mokane, and included what deputies call “references to several derogatory, offensive, and sexual terms.”
Buckner was arrested on suspicion of harassment, and has since been released from the Callaway County jail.
Original story: A controversial facebook page that portrays underage girls with sexual language is now off of Facebook,but some mid-missouri parents are still angry tonight and want answers.
The page, “South Callaway’s Sexiest” surfaced on facebook about mid January showing pictures of underage girls referring to thepictures – as sexual objects.
Many parents were upset and wanted the page to be taken down immediately, saying it was an act of cyberbullying,and sexually explicit. Asking South Callaway HighSchool to take action. However, according to the High School Principal, there wasn’t much the school could dosince it wasn’t a school related issue.
Callaway County Sheriff Department told ABC 17 in a statement that,”A criminal investigation was initiated on Friday ; the date the Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding this matter.A criminal investigator has been assigned the case and the investigation is ongoing.We have requestedthe assistance of computer forensics examiners and will also be obtaining court orders for Facebook documents. “
