Marginal Threat for Severe T-Storms Today
Thanks to some sunshine today, and strong winds aloft, there is a chance for some convection and a few thunderstorms this afternoon. If thunderstorms get going, these look to track southeast and move very quickly at 40 to 60 mph. The timing of these afternoon thunderstorms could occur from 1PM-7PM for winds as high as 60 mph. Counties shaded in the green, mainly east of US 63 have the greatest chance to see a few strong to severe thunderstorms later today. Rainfall amounts will be very meager, with less than 0.20″ likely.
