Freeburg company set to create hundreds of new jobs

Quaker Windows hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new window and door production facility Monday afternoon.

The new structure will house the entire vinyl and door manufacturing division. The company says the new facility is looking to fill fifty new jobs right now and then over one hundred later in the year.

Construction on the facility started in early 2015 and was finished earlier this year.

The family owned company looks for ways to help the community. The CEO, Kevin Blansett said, “As we continue to grow, we support the community. We put back into you know the Osage County and Jeff City area. It’s just an awesome relationship between us and the community.”

Quaker reaches customers from all over the country. The new building will allow the company to double its production and they have already seen a difference in the past two months.

The family that owns the company hopes the new positions will bring more people to Freeburg and urges potential customers to buy local.

Quaker Window and Doors says this expansion will not be the end of their growth. They plan on adding a new addition very soon.
