Boone County deputies investigated a crash Monday night after a car went off the road and into a creek.
It happened in the 6400 block of Rangeline Road just after 10 pm.
Deputies on scene tell ABC 17 News a passenger was taken to the hospital. Deputies believe the driver left the scene and are still looking for him.
Deputy Jason Dunlap told ABC 17 News the passenger of the car, described as a male, made it out of the car and walked to a nearby home. The department found him there, and an ambulance took him to a local hospital.
Dunlap said that person so far has not identified the driver, sought now for the crime of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash. The department did not immediately say what caused the car to crash into the small creek.
Dunlap said the car also damaged a flood sign posted on the side of the road as the car left Rangeline Road.
