Mid-Missouri man charged with embezzlement

A mid-Missouri man was charged Wednesday night, accused of stealing from his employer.

Jefferson City police officers arrested 52-year-old Roland Morrow Tuesday afternoon just after 11:30 a.m.

Court documents obtained by ABC 17 News show Morrow embezzled money while he worked as an office manager and accountant at Scheppers International Truck Center in Jefferson City.

Morrow is accused of reportedly transferring money from customer accounts to his personal Scheppers charge account between May 12, 2009 and July 31, 2015.

Investigators said the amount allegedly taken totaled more than $29,000.

According to the court documents, Morrow said he knew he didn’t have permission from his supervisors to conduct the transfers. He also reportedly said he knew it was stealing.
