Colder Wednesday, late-week warming

After a seven day stretch of above average temperatures, it will feel more like winter Wednesday as colder air settles in. Temperatures will start off in the low 30s and only climb into the mid to upper 30s under mostly cloudy skies. There is a chance of a few light snow showers or flurries early in the morning but no accumulation is expected. Northwesterly winds near 20 mph in the morning will gradually subside as we head into the afternoon, giving us wind chill readings in the low to mid 20s much of the day.

Winds will shift back to the southwest by Thursday morning, bringing temperatures back up from the low 20s in the morning to the lower 40s in the afternoon. The slow warming trend will continue into the weekend as daytime temperatures reach the upper 40s to near 50. Another blast of cold air moves in early next week.
