Police investigate possible robbery near Columbia liquor store
Police responded to a report of a robbery near a liquor store in northeast Columbia Saturday.
It happened around 8:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Arena Liquor store at Ballenger Lane and Rice Road.
Officers on scene tell ABC 17 News a woman reported someone robbed her during a fight in the parking lot of the liquor store. Police say the victim walked out of the business and was assaulted by two females who know her.
They say the victim dropped her wallet during the assault and the two women then stole the wallet.
Police haven’t confirmed if a weapon was involved. The investigation is ongoing.
