Two people arrested on outstanding warrants for Columbia robbery

Two people are behind bars for a Columbia robbery that happened earlier this month.

Scott Johnson, 30, and Ashley Willis, 31, were arrested in Lee’s Summit and transported to the Boone County Jail Friday, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

Court records showed both Johnson and Willis were wanted by Columbia police for a robbery on January 10.

ABC 17 News reported a robbery on Alpine Drive on that day.

At that home invasion, Columbia police said three people wearing ski masks broke in to a home with a gun and got away.

ABC 17 reached out to Columbia police Saturday to see if the arrests are related to the same robbery, but police have not yet responded.

Johnson and Willis are in the Boone County Jail each on a $75,000 bond.
