University of Missouri retiree insurance program under review

Interim UM System President Michael Middleton released a video Friday concerning the retiree insurance program. Middleton says the university has been reviewing the program and found the retiree insurance costs are escalating and the current program is unsustainable into the future.

The Total Rewards Advisory Committee submitted a report and recommendation to UM leaders regard the future of the insurance. There will be a series of open forums in February and March to discuss the recommendations.
