Jefferson City man shot while riding bicycle

Jefferson City — A Jefferson City man tells police he was shot Thursday night while riding his bicycle in the 800 block of Adams Street.

The victim flagged down a motorist who called police to the scene.

The man was hit by a bullet in his left hand and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia.

He told police he heard a bang and then felt a sharp pain in his hand but did not have a description of who pulled the trigger.
