Lake Ozark woman charged for having meth
A Lake Ozark woman was arrested on New Year’s Eve after officers stopped her at the intersection of Briarwood Road and Bittersweet Road.
17-year-old Mikayla Young allowed Camden County deputies to search her car, where they found meth and drug paraphernalia. Both Young and the male passenger said the drugs did not belong to either of them.
Young and her passenger were taken to the Camden Co. Adult Detention Center where she admitted ownership of the items. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and is being held without bond.
She’s set to appear in court on February 2.
