Crews respond to a vehicle fire in Columbia
Crews responded to a vehicle fire in central Columbia Tuesday morning.
A woman was driving west on Texas Avenue when the car started smoking around 7:15 a.m.
She was able to get out of her vehicle safely before the flames increased.
Her car was pulled over by the corner of Texas Avenue and Jackson Street, near Creasy Springs Road and the Business Loop.
Nine units responded from Columbia fire and the University Hospital ambulance service.
