Wet Weather Finally Comes to An End After Days of Rain.

After four days of rain through the Thanksgiving holiday, Mid-Missouri will endure one more day of showers before a stretch of dry weather enters the forecast.

For the month of November, Mid-Missouri has accumulated a total of 8.09″, a number that will continue to grow after tomorrow’s rain event. This will allow this month’s rain totals to break the record for the 3rd wettest November in history, with the current record set at 8.10″ in the year 1992.

On Monday, the main storm system that has contributed to bringing us continuous periods of patchy showers will finally lift northeastward into our region, bringing slightly heavier rain to areas north of I-70. A cold front associated with this system will sweep through our region, bringing dry air on its coattails. Although the front will not cause a sharp drop in temperatures, it will clear the rain out of our area, allowing conditions to dry out late Monday night into Tuesday morning.

All of Mid-Missouri is expected to wake up dry by Tuesday morning. From Tuesday through Friday, high pressure will move in and a warming trend will ensue, causing temperatures to rise into the 50s by Friday and into next weekend.
