Three arrested after meth busts in Osage Co.

Osage County deputies responded to a home in the 300 block of East Walker Street in Freeburg Wednesday for a report of an assault.

While at the home, deputies saw meth and drug paraphernalia on a coffee table in the living room.

Highway Patrol troopers and members of the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group responded to the home shortly after.

Deputies also found suspected marijuana after they got a search warrant for the home.

Russell Farquhar and Travis Hertzing, both of Freeburg, are charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of 35 grams of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Later on Wednesday, deputies searched an apartment in Linn and found meth, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside.

Deputies arrested Melissa Thompson, who had active warrants in Maries County for probation violations and a failure to appear warrant on drug charges with no bond.

Thompson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
