15 sex offenders not in compliance in Pulaski Co.

Pulaski County deputies completed sex offender compliance checks last Monday after months of preparation.

The checks coincided with the week of Halloween due to the higher risk of children coming into contact with sex offenders while trick-or-treating.

Authorities checked addresses to verify that each offender was actually registered, and made sure each person wasn’t living close to parks and schools, along with other places that children are known to frequent.

Halloween decorations and lights were prohibited at each registrant’s home.

Out of 100 sex offenders checked, 15 were not in compliance, and were either arrested or have charges pending against them.
