Board members working to move the Boone County Fair

The Boone County Fair could soon have a new home in mid-Missouri.

ABC 17 News learned Wednesday night the Boone County Fair Board has agreed to move the festival to Sturgeon, Missouri.

Mayor Gene Kelly said he was told this week the fair had been moved to his city.

He could not confirm specifics of the move, but said Sturgeon city leaders are working on approving the fair’s move.

Kelly said the city will create a plan to present to Sturgeon City Council members in the coming weeks.
