Drought conditions worsen in Mid-Missouri

Since September 1st, Mid-Missouri as had 1.20″ of rainfall at Columbia Regional. Less than. 07″ in the past month, and only .03″ since October 1st, resulting in expanded Moderate Drought in spots. While light rain is in the forecast for areas south of HWY 50, rainfall will not amount to much today. Our next measurable rain chance returns next Tuesday-Thursday, bringing a possible and much welcomed, 0.25″ to 0.50″ of total rainfall.
