Possible freezing temperatures in parts of Mid-Missouri this weekend

After a warm Thursday, we’ll watch a cold front approach from the north, shifting winds from south to northwest through the day.

A cooler air mass approaches from Canada and settles in for the weekend, keeping temperatures very chilly each morning.

Friday will be much cooler, with temperatures in the low 40s in the morning, and afternoon highs in the low to mid-60s.

Saturday will be the coolest, with morning temperatures ranging from 30 to 37 across Mid-Missouri, with near freezing lows in far northeastern Missouri. Audrain, Monroe, Montgomery, and Callaway counties could see some patchy frost Saturday morning, so any potted plants will need to be brought indoors.

Saturday and Sunday afternoon will both be in the low to mid-60s, with warmer air moving back in for Monday.
