Coolest air of the season on the way this weekend
The first freeze is likely in mid to late October, from October 10 through the 20th. Forecast models are indicating possible mid 30s in northern and eastern Mid-Missouri by Saturday morning October 17th and 18th; right on time for the first freeze.
Audrain, Randolph, Macon, Monroe, Montgomery, and Gasconade counties look to have the best opportunity for a frost. It will be a good idea to bring in sensitive plants indoors by Friday night, including potted plants. We’ll be updating morning temperatures for the upcoming weekend throughout the week.
