Gunshots fired in northeast Columbia

Authorities responded to reports of multiple gunshots in northeast Columbia, Thursday night.

We’re told witnesses heard 20 to 25 gunshots earlier Thursday night, in the area of Bodie Drive and Currituck Lane. Authorities have recovered multiple shell casings.

Columbia Police and Boone County Sheriff’s deputies are questioning people on the scene.

Two duplexes were damaged including at least one bullet hole inside one of the homes on Currituck.

There are no reports of injuries.

One person has been detained, but no arrests have been made as of Thursday night.
