Trial delayed for Mid-MO rape suspect

ABC 17 News has confirmed there is another delay for a Mid-Missouri rape suspect who has already faced three mistrials.

A jury just convicted Brian Adkison in July for assaulting his former girlfriend back in May 2013.

He was supposed to be sentenced this week, but on Friday ABC 17 News confirmed that has how been pushed back until October 5.

Adkison escaped from law enforcement several times, including a manhunt near the Lake of the Ozarks later that summer.

That was followed by a jail escape in northwest Missouri, before he was caught hiding in a nursing home in Ohio.
