Jefferson City Police arrest stabbing suspect

Jefferson City Police arrested a stabbing suspect Friday afternoon after receiving a tip.

Patrol officers took Christopher Page, 22, into custody on Elizabeth Street around 4 p.m. without incident.

Jefferson City police got a call around 11:43 p.m. Wednesday, reporting an open door and a woman lying in a pool of blood.

Officers found the 18 year-old victim barely conscious in the 800 block of Mulberry, on the southwest side of Highway 50.

She claims she was hit, choked and stabbed several times in the side of the head.

Her attacker was identified as Christopher Page, who is from Jefferson City but also has connections to the St. Louis area. Investigators believe a fight started about the status of their relationship.

The woman was taken to the hospital in Columbia because of the extent of her injuries.
