Man arrested for shooting outside Waffle House

On Thursday police said they made an arrest after a recent shooting outside Waffle House in central Columbia earlier this month.

Christopher Robinson, 33, was arrested around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Detectives claimed they identified Robinson as the same suspect who flashed a gun during a fight in the parking lot early August 2, at the Waffle House on Vandiver Drive near I-70. That happened around 3 a.m., but nothing was hit.

That same night officers responded to four different reports of shots fired, including one at Colonial Village Trailer Park on Rangeline, where bullets flew through a woman’s home. Read about the separate incidents here.

Robinson is also a convicted felon who had a warrant for violating his parole.
