Barrier work to begin on I-70 bridges

MoDOT crews are preparing to set up barriers for a major I-70 bridge replacement project in Columbia.

The work is scheduled to begin Wednesday night.

The driving lane on westbound I-70 will close from 9:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. Thursday.

The highway will close Thursday night at the same time.

Crews will also close one lane in each direction on Rangeline from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Thursday to reconfigure the lanes under I-70.

The entire project will replace the I-70 bridges over Rangeline, Garth, and Business Loop 70.

The work is scheduled to be complete by next fall.
