MU to cover health insurance for eligible grad students

The University of Missouri will once again cover health insurance for eligible graduate students.

Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin announced Friday afternoon that the school will defer plans to cancel health insurance coverage for grad students.

University officials announced last Friday that they would no longer cover health care for graduate students enrolled at the school.

On Wednesday, nearly 1,200 students released a list of seven demands to the university.

If the university hadn’t issued a response, they had threatened to walk out of classes.
