Update: One person hurt in crash after police chase in Columbia

At least one person was injured Saturday night following a crash in north Columbia.

Police had one lane of Stadium Blvd. blocked off at the north city limits shortly after 10:00 p.m.

The lane closure is near the intersection with Route E.

Sunday, Columbia police said officers tried to conduct a traffic stop for a vehicle with no headlights on. The driver did not stop and led police on a chase for about half a mile.

Officer stopped following the vehicle and later found the driver had crashed. One person was sent to the hospital, according to police. No charges are pending at this time.
