Letter addresses Columbia city manager’s response to CPOA post

A law firm representing the Columbia Police Officer’s Association sent a letter to city manager Mike Matthes concerning his response to the Association’s Facebook post.

The letter claims Matthes interfered with police officers’ choice of a collective bargaining representative. It also claims he threatened to oppose any ballot measure to add officers or increase wages unless the Association’s executive director, Dale Roberts, is fired.

The firm is calling on Matthes to rescind his demand concerning the Association’s choice of its bargaining representative.

You can find the contents of the letter attached to this story.
