One year later, family still looking for answers to Jefferson City man’s death

Sunday night, family and friends of Cody Thirlwall gathered at the capitol building in Jefferson City for a prayer vigil.

The date marked exactly one year since Thirlwall’s body was discovered by a hunter near Enon in Moniteau County. He was 32 years old at the time of his death.

Family members told police they had not seen Thirlwall since June. They reported him missing just days after his body was found.

Both the Moniteau County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have been investigating Thirlwall’s death.

Shayne Healea, the Moniteau County Prosecutor,told ABC 17 News no one has been arrested and no charges have been filed. Healea said the investigation is still active.
