Police arrest woman for reportedly trying to run over man with car

Columbia police arrested a woman who they say may be involved in the Friday night shots fired on Worley Street.

Police arrested Kecia Goldman, 28, for domestic assault Saturday.

Abc 17 News reported Friday, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of Worley Street, near the Calvary Baptist Church around 9:10 p.m.

Police said a man and woman were fighting near the address. Goldman, the woman, reportedly tried running over the man with her car.

Around the same time, someone reported hearing shots fired in the area. Police later found the man involved in the fight, whose name has not been released. He told police he heard the shot, but was not hurt and did not know where it came from.

Officers found a cartridge casing on Ridgeway Avenue just south of Worley street. No injuries have been reported.
