Missouri basketball releases 2015-16 non-conference schedule.

Missouri basketball released its 2015 non-conference schedule Friday, headlined by four contests against 2014 NCAA tournament teams. Missouri will face Arizona and Xavier on the road while hosting N.C. State and Wofford.

Mizzou’s exhibition opener is Friday, Nov. 6 against Missouri Western. The regular season opener is one week later (Nov. 13). Kim Anderson’s team will face Wofford, who went 28-7 last season. The Terriers lost to Arkansas in its opening round game of the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The Tigers will play Illinois in the annual Braggin’ Rights game on Dec. 23 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Missouri lost on a last-second bucket by Illinois guard Rayvonte Rice in last year’s match-up.

Missouri is one of four teams in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic. MU’s first game of the series is against former Big 12 rival Kansas Sate on Nov. 23. The Wildcats went 15-17 last year and own a slim 118-117 edge over the Tigers in the all-time series.

Mizzou could take on as many as five foes with a top 50 RPI ranking in 2015. Wofford, Arizona, Xavier, N.C. State are on the slate and MU could face North Carolina in the CBE Classic.
