911 service restored in St. Thomas after outage

Emergency officials in Cole County have confirmed 911 services are restored after a temporary outage Friday.

Services were dropped after technical issues Friday for residents in St. Thomas, about 30 minutes south of Jefferson City.

The outage was first reported around 10:30 a.m., affecting about 229 phones. It was restored shortly after 1:30 Friday afternoon. CenturyLink is citing a central office power failure for the outage.

The center was urging anyone to call the communication line at (573) 634-6351 if they needed help during the outage.
