Police: scooter chase leads to man’s arrest for K2

ABC 17 News learned more details about Wednesday night’s motorcycle chase in central Columbia.

On Thursday officers confirmed the suspect asked to borrow the victims’s scooter outside the McDonald’s on the Business Loop, before driving away.

When he failed to come back, the man called police. He wrecked a few blocks away.

Investigators claim the man is Raymond Sutton, who says he lost track of time at his girlfriend’s house.

They also believe Sutton had a baggie of synthetic marijuana, or K2, after leaving the bike in the road while trying to run.
