Storms cause damage, power outages in parts of Mid-Missouri

Strong, non-severe thunderstorms moved through Mid-Missouri Tuesday evening, bringing damage to parts of the area, particularly near the Lake of the Ozarks.

In Camdenton, several trees were downed across roads due to high winds.

In Osage Beach, a structure fire was reported due to a possible lightning strike.

More trees were downed in Sunrise Beach due to damaging winds.

In Columbia, hundreds of people were without power due to lightning and high winds.

Just over 1000 Boone Electric customers were without power at 10:00 p.m.

161 Columbia Water & Light customers were without power shortly after 10:00 p.m.

Broadway St. in Ashland near Walnut and Oak was temporarily closed due to power lines down over the roadway.

Sarazen Drive near Hogan Drive in Boone Co. was closed due to a tree over the roadway.
