Police investigating two armed robberies in Columbia

Columbia Police responded to two armed robberies Tuesday evening.

Shortly before 7:30, officers were called to Midwest Petroleum on South Providence Road.

About 10 minutes later, they responded to an armed robbery at the Domino’s Pizza on Green Meadows Drive.

Police said the men entered the stores with handguns and demanded money.

The suspects left the area with an unknown amount of money.

Emergency dispatchers said the suspect(s) left the scene in a tan vehicle. Police were searching for a black man wearing a yellow shirt and yellow shoes.

ABC 17 News saw officers dusting for fingerprints around the front door of Domino’s.

A K-9 unit was searching the inside the store just after 8:00 p.m.
