Autopsy performed on Columbia man found in Boone Co. lake
An autopsy was performed Thursday on the body of a missing man who was found in a Boone County lake.
Preliminary results show the man drowned.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department says there are no signs of foul play.
27-year-oldGaspar Soto-Reza was last seen swimming in the County Downes lake on Saturday.
That subdivision is north of Columbia near Highway 63.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies reported his body was found in the lake shortly after 6:00 Tuesday night.
Boone County fire crews had three boats on the lake searching for Soto-Reza on Sunday, and and used sonar, drones, and dogs trained to alert to human remains.
