Sewer main leaking in Columbia

A 21 inch pipe is leaking on Gans Road near Rock Quarry Road in Columbia. It’s part of a sewer main that connects to the Clear Creek pump station. Columbia Public Works crews are on the scene with equipment digging near the leak. Steve Sapp from Columbia Public Works says crews will be out until late Thursday night and will put together a compliance report with the Department of Natural Resources. Public Works says it will be closely monitoring the leak. ABC 17 News got a viewer tip around 2:30pm Thursday afternoon about the leak.

ABC 17 News crews were on the scene and saw muddy and water coming out of the ground.
