Assistance coming for Mid-Missouri homeless

On Thursday, officials are holding a large event designed to bring some much-needed assistance to the homeless population of Mid-Missouri.

The city is working with volunteers, non-profits, and businesses.

It will be held at the Family Impact Center near Ash and Providence from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

It provides everything from free eye glasses, to food, clothing, and dental care.

Organizers said more than 460 people got help last year.
