Woman accused of stealing tuxedos appears in court

A former Jefferson City bridal shop owner appeared in Cole County court Wednesday.

Ann Metternich, who used to own Victoria’s Bridal, is accused of stealing tuxedos from from Anderson’s Formal Wear.

Metternich was charged with theft in October 2011.

Anderson’s claims Metternich stole thousands of dollars worth of tuxedos from them, and the Department of Revenue filed tax liens for nearly $50,000 against her.

A bench trial in Metternich’s case started a few months ago, but was stopped.

Metternich was in court Wednesday for a case review.
