Heat, humidity & storms this weekend

Saturday will be a hot, humid day with a chance of showers or t-storms in the morning north of I-70 which will end by late morning. Skies will be mostly to partly cloudy with temperatures climbing into the low to mid 90s. The humidity will make it feel like 103 to 109 Saturday afternoon. There is a Heat Advisory until 9 PM Saturday.

A few storms could pop up Saturday afternoon through early evening in the hot, humid air with the potential of becoming severe. The main threats are damaging wind and large hail. These storms would dissipate by mid-evening as we lose the daytime heating.

Another cluster of storms could move into northern Missouri after midnight Saturday night, affecting areas north of I-70 Sunday morning, with the possibility of spotty storms developing farther south through the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s Sunday with heat indices up to 107 degrees.
