Employees allowed to return to Truman Building following bomb threat

Employees were give then all clear to return to the Truman Building in Jefferson City after being evacuated Wednesday afternoon.

Law enforcement cleared the building after someone called in a bomb threat just before 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.

Missouri Department of Public Safety spokesman Mike O’Connell told ABC 17 News someone made a threat on the Harry S. Truman State Office Building on West High Street.

The Truman Building houses multiple state departments.

O’Connell said the building was evacuated as a precaution.

Missouri State Capitol Police were seen bringing a K-9 unit into the building.
