Late week heat and storms

We have a brief break from the rain as high pressure builds behind a cold front which moved through Monday evening. Northerly winds will keep our temperatures in the 80s Tuesday and Wednesday.

A few showers & t-storms are possible south of I-70 Wednesday afternoon as a wave of low pressure aloft moves through. A warm front in southwestern Missouri will move to the north Wednesday night, increasing storm chances through Thursday. A quarter to a half inch of rain is expected north of I-70 with a half inch to an inch south with pockets of 2 inches possible through Thursday.
