Cole Co. child abuse trial on hold

A Mid-Missouri child abuse trial was put on hold Friday.

25-year-old Quinton Allen is accused of assaulting a 2-year-old back in 2011.

Court documents said the child went to the hospital for excessive vomiting and had to have part of his skull removed.

Allen apparently did not appear as ordered for his pre-trial conference.

The court has now postponed the trial and issued a warrant for Allen’s arrest.

A new trial date has not yet been set.
