School board discusses future of facilities in Jefferson City

Jefferson City school board members met Monday night to talk about the future of the school’s facilities.

The board has a lot to talk about over the next month.

They’ll have to decide whether to take a new elementary school to voters alone, or if they’ll put a new high school on the ballot.

Voters struck down a new mega high school the last time they attempted to get it approved.

After that happened, the board said they heard voters loud and clear, and said they would bring a new elementary school to voters.

However, board members are now leaning toward taking the same measure that failed miserably to back voters.
