Columbia police break up brawl on Hanover Boulevard

A large group was broken up after a brawl on Hanover Boulevard in Columbia Sunday afternoon.

Police said they were originally called out to the area for reports of shots fired.

But officers said they found no evidence of a shooting and don’t believe any weapons were involved.

The street was blocked off for a short time while officers investigated.

Police said no one was taken to the hospital, but some people in the group had minor scrapes and bruises.
