Hot, humid weekend
We’ll have a more typical summer weather pattern this weekend as a ridge of high pressure aloft builds over the south-central states. This will cause temperatures to rise and will keep most rain to our north through Sunday.
Afternoon temperatures will reach the lower 90s but the humidity will make it feel more like the upper 90s to near 100 during the peak heating of the day. Southwesterly winds will increase to near 15 mph during the afternoon with mostly sunny skies.
There is a slight chance of showers or t-storms north of I-70 early Saturday morning and again Sunday morning closer to HWY 36. No severe weather is expected.
