Highway Patrol to meet with Cooper Co. on Prairie Home shooting

ABC 17 News confirmed Wednesday the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be meeting with Cooper County investigators this week after a deadly shooting in Prairie Home last month.

Officials said the shooting happened on Lacy Lane when an intruder entered the home and then was shot and killed.

Neighbors said the intruder confronted the homeowner and a fight broke out prior to the shooting.

The investigation will then be turned over to the prosecutor.
