Boone County car chase early Monday morning ends at Park Village Trailer Park

A man is behind bars this morning after he led authorities on a car chase.

It happened around around 1:40 Monday morning when Boone County deputies tried to serve David Singleton with two warrants. One was for failure to show up in court and the other for failure to follow a judges order.

When Singlton showed up to his home on Hinkson Creek Road deputies tried to make a routine traffic stop and that’s when Singleton sped off in his truck and tried to hit the deputies.

He eventually crashed his truck into a metal gate and took off on foot.

Boone County authorities had to bring in the K-9 to help track Singleton.

They found Singleton at Park Village Trailer Park off Brown Station Road about 40 minutes after the initial chase.

Singleton is in custody, but currently at University Hospital where he is being evaluated after remarks he made to deputies about himself.
