I-70 open after major crash involving semi trucks

Traffic is moving along I-70 in Columbia following a major crash early Friday morning. Shortly before 1 a.m. six semi trucks were involved in a crash at the I-70/Highway 63 connector. The crash closed down westbound traffic on I-70 for about an hour.

Four people were taken to University Hospital as a result of the crash, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. Some fuel leaked from one of the trucks, but was quickly contained.
